A 42.9% drop was recorded in the number of homes sold in Chaplin Estates for the month of March. From last year’s seven detached home sales, three detached homes were sold in the neighbourhood last month for an average dollar value of $2,233,333, representing a 14.8% decrease from March 2017’s average value of $2,619,944. Only one semi-detached home was sold last month for $1,126,000 compared to last year's none.
Year-to-date values show an 11.1% drop in total home sales for the first three months of the year, from nine home sales last year to eight. The average dollar values of these homes also decreased 13.8% from $2,548,845 to $2,196375. To date, only one semi-detached home has been sold in the neighbourhood.
